Add page numbers to a PDF in any of six positions and four styles, at whatever size and colour you like. Pages you skip — a cover, a title page — are left unmarked and also left out of the count, so numbering that begins on page three still reads 1, 2, 3 rather than 3, 4, 5. Rotated pages are handled properly, which is the detail most tools get wrong: the number is positioned relative to what a reader sees rather than to the raw page, so it does not end up sideways or off the edge on a scanned document. How it works
