QR Code Generator
This QR code generator creates a scannable QR code from a URL, Wi-Fi credentials, a contact card or any plain text. Customize the module shape (square, rounded or dots) and colors, optionally overlay a logo in the center, then export as PNG, JPG or WebP. The code is built entirely in your browser, so the content you encode is never uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
What can I encode into a QR code with this generator?
You can encode a URL, Wi-Fi network credentials, a contact card, or any plain text — the generator builds a standard QR code that any phone camera or QR scanner app can read.
What error-correction level should I choose?
Medium ("M") is a good default for most codes, since it balances damage tolerance against data capacity; switch to High ("H") whenever you overlay a center logo, since the extra redundancy is what lets the code still scan with part of the image covered.
Will adding a logo stop my QR code from scanning?
Not if the logo stays confined to the center of the code and error correction is set to High — QR codes store redundant data blocks, and High correction can reconstruct up to roughly 30% of the code’s area, which is more than enough to cover a small center logo.
Does this tool upload the URL or text I turn into a QR code?
No — the QR code is generated entirely in your browser, so the text, URL or Wi-Fi password you encode is never sent to a server or stored anywhere.
What image format should I download my QR code in?
PNG is the best default because its lossless compression keeps the black-and-white modules sharp; JPG or WebP give smaller file sizes but their compression can slightly blur module edges on very small codes.
