Add a watermark to a photo without uploading it anywhere. Use text with your own typeface, colour and outline, or upload a logo as a PNG with a transparent background. Every size is set as a percentage of the image rather than in pixels, so the same settings look right whether the next photo is 800 pixels wide or 6,000 — a fixed pixel size is why most watermarking tools produce a mark that is invisible on one image and enormous on the next. The mark can sit in any of nine positions, be rotated to any angle, or be tiled across the whole frame, which is considerably harder to crop out than a single corner mark.

How do I add a watermark to a photo?

Can I use my own logo instead of text?
Yes — switch to the logo option and upload any image. A PNG with a transparent background works best, since the transparency is preserved when the mark is composited.
What is the tiled option for?
It repeats the mark across the entire image instead of placing it once. A corner watermark can be cropped off in seconds; a tiled one cannot be removed without damaging the picture.
What opacity should I use?
Around 40-60% is usually enough to claim an image without burying what is underneath. Turn on the dark outline if light text disappears against a bright photo.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The watermark is drawn on your own device using the browser canvas, so the original photo never leaves your machine.
Why is the watermark size set as a percentage?
Because a mark measured in pixels is tiny on a 6000-pixel photo and enormous on an 800-pixel one. A percentage of the image keeps the same visual weight at any size.
