Frequently asked questions

Can I edit multiple images at once in the image editor?

Yes — you can upload as many images as you like, and every rotate, flip, crop, resize and compression setting you choose applies to all of them, with results downloadable individually or together as a ZIP.

How does cropping work in the image editor?

Cropping uses a movable, resizable crop box: pick a fixed aspect ratio, drag the box to choose what to keep, and drag its corner handle to resize while the ratio stays locked, or choose "Free" to resize to any width and height. In a batch, the same relative crop position and size is reproduced on every image using its own dimensions.

How does "keep aspect ratio" work when resizing images?

With only width or only height set, "keep aspect ratio" scales the image proportionally from its own size, including enlarging it if needed; with both set, they act as a maximum bounding box so every image fits inside without distortion.

Will my images change if I upload them without setting any edits?

Images are left completely unchanged if no edits are set — no resizing or re-encoding happens, so the download is byte-for-byte identical to what you uploaded.

Does the image editor also convert the file format?

The image editor only converts the file format if you choose one under Output format; leaving it on "Keep original" preserves each image’s existing format while still applying any other edits.

Is my photo uploaded when I use the image editor?

No photo is uploaded — resizing, cropping, rotating, flipping and compressing all happen on your device via the canvas API, so nothing is sent to a server.
